· Donate Furniture NOW!
o The PODS storage unit is in the DIS parking lot and waiting for your usable discards to help the new French teachers furnish their empty apartments upon arrival.  Remember we are looking for tables, chairs, desks, sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, lamps in working order, vacuum cleaners in working order, irons and ironing boards in working order, microwaves in working order, and coffee machines in working order.  Unfortunately, items not on this list cannot be accepted.  Don’t stop in your own garage!  Enlist family, friends and neighbors!  Please drop-off items only during NON-carpool hours.

· Welcome Coffee (August 21st )
o The TCC needs YOU!  I need only one volunteer for this short but sweet event.  We will serve coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit and pastries for 30 people.  All you have to do is purchase the supplies and set up an attractive buffet-style table in the upstairs cafeteria on the morning of Tuesday, August 21st .  The PTO will reimburse your expenditures up to approximately $80.  Don’t miss this great opportunity to take care of our teachers prior to the first day of school!

· BBQ Lunch for New Teachers (August 21st )
o Only one or two volunteers needed for this one!  This BBQ lunch is a DIS tradition!  It will be catered by a local BBQ restaurant and will serve about 40 people (prearranged and prepaid by the PTO).  Your job will be simply to greet the caterer mid-morning on August 21st at DIS to ensure they set up the buffet attractively and on-time in the upstairs cafeteria.  You will also help with drinks and dessert and will be reimbursed by the PTO for these items up to approximately $60.  Please volunteer.Contact Eileen Wolfe at eileenwolfe@verizon.net  for questions or offers to help! in any way! We love our teachers!  Let’s show them!
