DIS Benchmark
One of many interesting topics have been brought up during the last two headmaster coffees. How are the IB and FB viewed by the colleges? DIS have only a handful of graduates at this point but in many ways, we pattern our growth with the AWTY school in Houston. AWTY has published a report of of their 2005-2006 graduating class.

Gala Meeting this Thurday

We have our first general meeting about the 2007 Gala & Auction this Thursday morning (9/28) after drop off, around 8:45. Please join us to learn more about this year’s Gala & Auction, and to see what volunteer opportunities we have available, both throughout the year and just for the evening of the event. Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
I am going to be participating in a very special event at the end of October in Dallas called the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
I’ll walk 60 miles over the course of three days. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. It is my personal goal to raise at least $3,000 in donations. So I have been very busy doing some fundraising. My question is would DIS allow me to put an announcement in the weekly email asking for support? If so that would be super, if not I understand.
